Our Operator Apprenticeship Program is one of the top machine operator programs in the state of Wisconsin. In fact, it’s the only state-certified print operator program in all of Wisconsin.
The perfect pursuit for mechanically apt individuals, this four-year program combines classroom with hands-on learning to help you master the machines on the pressroom floor so you can secure a Bindery Operator career with great pay and even greater job security!
What you need:
Previous experience with saddle stitch/perfect binding equipment or 6 months as an Arandell employee
How long it takes:
Four years to earn Wisconsin Journeyman License, with an initial 12-week accelerated training program

The Operator Apprenticeship Program
Once your application is approved, you’ll begin a 12-week accelerated course that combines classroom learning with on-the-job training. From there you’ll transition to full-time on-the-job training where you will officially become a fully fledged Operator. Over the next 3+ years, you’ll continue your on-site training, mastering additional machines and obtaining the hours you need to achieve your Journeyman License. And the best part? All of it is paid for, in-full, by Arandell.

What's a Bindery Operator?
At Arandell, Bindery Operators manage the saddle stitchers and perfect binder machines that exist in our Finishing Department. Bindery Operators coordinate the set-up, and running of the machines according to the specifics of each job being produced. They are also responsible for the entire bindery crew and will assist additional team members as needed.
