Web Mechanic

Responsible for the coordination of all assigned web maintenance and projects. Position reports to the manager of mechanical maintenance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Advise and maintain parts inventory.
• Manufacturing production parts and upgrades equipment modifications.
• Performs and/or assists in solving production problems.
• Meet with Lead Web Technician to assure proper projects are completed.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with supervisors and fellow employees.
• Follow all plant & OSHA lockout and tagout procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair web room/auxiliary equipment mechanical problems.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all plant and office personnel.
• Perform all duties safely and in accordance with all safety rules and requirements.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality on all matters involving the Arandell .
• Maintains a positive customer relations approach towards visitors, customers, and employees.
• Applies Arandell Corporation philosophy in dealing with internal and external publics.
• Performs all special duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION

• High School Graduate
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum five (5) years maintenance or operator on related equipment.
• Must be able to Weld/Braze.
• Must be able to do machining processes (i.e. Lathe, Mill Drill Press).
• Must be able to operate a fork lift.
• Must be able to read and use scales, micrometers, indicators, etc.
• Must be able to differentiate colors.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to plan and direct the work of others and to process work orderly and efficiently.
• Must be in good health, able to move throughout the plant on a regular basis.
• Must have the capability to think problems through thoroughly.
• Must keep downtime to a minimum using efficient work methods.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 75 pounds.

SPECIAL DEMANDS

• Must be available for call-ins.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must have or get a personal set of compatible job related tools.
