Forest Management Certification

Adding to our already renowned sustainability practices, Arandell is certified by three of the world’s most distinguished forest management programs: the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). Passing an intense third party audit of our purchasing behavior and environmental practices made these forestry certifications possible.

Woodland Resource Management

Obtaining these certifications allows our customers to use Arandell’s Chain of Custody (CoC) registration numbers and the FSC, SFI or PEFC logos on qualified, final printed product. They designate that Arandell and our clients are formally committed to a policy that meets specific standards regarding the proper management of woodland resources. We and our clients are the last link in a chain that begins with other certified bodies that are poised to encourage the use of certified wood products. By supporting each link in the chain of custody, Arandell achieves environmental sustainability in printing.

The list of qualifications for each of these certifications is extensive. Some of the requirements include: the ability to track paper from the moment it arrives at the plant to the moment it goes out the door as a finished product; a committed upper management group who conducts audits of the program at least annually; and a constantly-informed associate pool of all disciplines, including Receiving, Customer Service, Press, Bindery and Shipping.
