Co-Mailing Defined

Offline Co-Mailing

Offline co-mailing is a two-step process. Books are either saddle-stitched or perfect-bound in our bindery; and taken to one of our offline co-mail machines. One of the many advantages of our offline co-mail process is that it allows for direct mail pieces of multiple sizes (head-to-foot, spine-to-face and thickness) to be combined. We have three offline co-mailers in-house, each of which allow multiple unique titles to be combined into a single mailstream.

Inline Co-Mailing

Our in-house (inline) co-binding system combines multiple titles into a single mailstream on our saddle stitching equipment. Our state-of-the-art saddle stitchers are equipped with selective-bind capabilities, allowing marketers to customize their marketing messages. Inline, we can co-mail titles of variable spine-to-face trim sizes and variable thicknesses.

Hybrid Co-Mailing

Arandell’s unique hybrid co-mail process combines inline co-binding and offline co-mailing to generate the highest level of Carrier Route savings. Combining the two processes also gives almost all mailers the opportunity to participate in our co-mail pools.
